The Lagos State Government is offering investors the opportunity to invest in the state's healthcare sector through the construction of trauma and burn centres.

Upgrading the infrastructure of the healthcare system is one of the Ministry of Health's major objectives.

Investment opportunity

The design phase of strategically situated 50 bed trauma and burn centres has been completed. The building phase now provides an opportunity for investors to get involved.

The present administration has worked hard to create an enabling environment for foreign direct investment in the state.

Areas: Trauma and burn centres will be situated in the following areas: Lekki, Ikorodu, Alimosho, Epe, Badagry.

Reasons to invest in Lagos State

Market:
With a population of 17 million, Lagos is Nigeria’s most populous state and the economic hub of West Africa. The metropolis is also the first point of entry for the majority of visitors to Nigeria. Any investment in the tourism and hospitality sector will therefore have a large potential market.

Infrastructure: Although a lot of work still needs to be done to improve Lagos's infrastructure, the current administration is showing real commitment to improving the situation. New roads have been built, water transportation services are currently being implemented and the administration has adopted solar energy to power street lights.

Incentives: The Lagos State Government is offering a number of incentives to serious investors in the tourism sector. These include the provision of land and infrastructure, tax holidays and assistance with obtaining financing.

Labour: As the biggest city in Africa, Lagos has a large workforce
