


Kwara state government is inviting investors to build facilities at the stadium complex, which is used to host the home matches of Kwara United football club. Built in the late 1970’s, the stadium complex is set for a N1.3-billion makeover in 2010. The state government is in the process of improving and renovating the existing facilities to comply with the guidelines set down by world football body, FIFA.

• Motel and camping accommodation for visitors on a budget

• Cinema hall that can also accommodate stage shows

Market: Kwara State has a population of close to 3 million people. The state is 500 km from Abuja and 300 km from Lagos.
Stable political climate: Since its return to civilian rule in 1999 Nigeria has made significant gains in establishing democracy. Besides a few localised problems in the Niger Delta area, the country is safe and secure to do business.
