Description

The Sokoto State government, through the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), is offering interested local and international investors the opportunity to establish a fertiliser production plant.

The project will involve the construction and operation of the facility.

Sokoto State is rich in solid mineral deposits that can be used as inputs for fertiliser production. These include: kaolin, limestone and phosphate rock.

Incentives:

Both the federal and Sokoto state governments have put in place numerous incentives to stimulate the development of industrial projects in the state.

Some of these incentives include:

equity participation in viable industrial projects;

easy accessibility of land in industrial estates;

guarantee of loans for viable industrial projects;

provision of infrastructure to industrial layouts;

availability of cheap labour

import duty draw back;

income tax relief/pioneer status; and

tax relief for research and development.
