Tally Ventures Limited has concluded plans to invest US$50m in the exploration, mining and processing of barite in the next four years.
To actively play a major role in the nation's mining industry, Tally Ventures needs the participation of investors in the exploration, mining and processing of barite. The barite field, marked ASEPL 204, is located in Cross River State and is estimated to hold over a hundred million metric tonnes of highest quality ($.5 SG, API Standard) barite.
In order to develop the barite sector, the Nigerian federal government placed a ban on barite importation into the country.
