Description

The Kwara State Ministry of Environment and Tourism is opening its doors to interested investors, both local and foreign, for investment in the development of Owu Waterfalls located in the Owa-Kajola and Ifelodun Local Government Areas of the state.

The development will involve the planning and construction of modern infrastructure that would make the fall a foremost destination in Africa. These infrastructural developments will include the construction of:

  • hotels
  • conferencing facilities
  • amusement parks
  • fields for horse riding and biking.

    About Owu Waterfalls

    This is one of the highest and most spectacular waterfalls in West Africa and is sometimes referred to as the 'wonder in the wilderness'. It cascades from a height of about 120 metres to form a pool of ice cold water at its base. The site has a beautiful landscape and offers visitors a refreshing atmosphere. The fall is capable of generating huge revenue from local and foreign tourists.
