Description

The Niger State government is seeking to partner with both local and foreign investors for the development of a tourism masterplan, which on completion will generate between US$150-million and US$200-million yearly.

Project Summary:

The Gurara falls in Bonu local government area of Niger State is reputed to be the biggest waterfall in Africa and the project will involve upgrading, developing and putting in place world-class infrastructure that would make the fall a foremost destination in Africa.

Investors are needed for the designing, construction and operation of the following projects:

  • a five star hotel
  • a presidential resort
  • conferencing facilities
  • amphitheatres
  • amusement parks
  • a golf course
  • a cable car from the fall to Zuma rock and back to Abuja

    The Niger State government has earmarked 1,000 hectres of land for the project.
