Dancom Technologies, a subsidiary of the Dangote Group has partnered with Huawei Technologies to construct a fibre optic network that will cover the eastern part of Nigeria.

The project is expected to cater for Nigeria's capacity needs and improve the country's telecommunications environment in general.

According to the two companies, the deal indicates the start of a long-term cooperation between Dancom and Huawei in providing telecommunications infrastructure and services.
