The planned expansion of The Palms shopping mall in Lagos by Persianas Properties Limited is expected to be completed in 2014.

In a recent interview with TradeInvestNigeria, Prakash Pantham, a director of the Persianas Group, revealed that the expansion will add approximately 40,000m² to the current retail section. The development will also include two office towers with a total area of 30,000 m² and a small 100 room hotel.

Pantham said that the entire project will be self-reliant in respect of power, water supply, sewage treatment and security.

Persianas expects construction to start in the 1^st quarter of 2010 and the whole project should be finished by 2014 although the retail component will be ready by 2012.
