In the last two years the OnnePort maritime complex in Port Hartcourt has attracted investments worth N354 trillion.
The port serves as a logistical centre for the oil and gas industries both in the onshore and offshore environment. Furthermore, 140 multinational investors provide 8 000 direct jobs and over 20 000 indirect jobs to Nigerians.
One of the port's several advantages is its ideal geographic location, providing quality services and port infrastructure to international maritime operations.
Integrated Logistics Service (Intels) is one of the key operators at the Onne complex and has invested over N67 billion in the developing and running of the port for over the last 20 years.
According to Intels general manager, Simone Volpi, the port exhibits a quality management team; sea, air and road links; a highly competitive pricing structure; flexible management approach; and an international standard working environment with highly trained and a skilled workforce.
Chuks Ihuoma, the deputy general manager of Intels said that in the last five years the company had successfully handled and turned around 4 245 marine support vessels at OnnePort.
