The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), together with private oil firms, are planning to establish three new refineries across the country.

Business Day reports two of the crude oil refineries will be located in the South West and the Niger Delta respectively, while the third, a gas refinery, will be situated in the North Central Zone of the country.

The three other oil firms involved in the project are Oando, African Petroleum and India's Mittal.
