A Korean delegation visited Dr Magnus Kpako, coordinator of the National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP) at his office. The officials were in Nigeria to finalise plans for the construction of four cassava processing plants to be built in Ogun, Kogi, Enugu and Plateau States.
According to Kpako, President Umaru Yar'Adua, is extremely positive about the support the Koreans are giving to the development of Nigeria's agricultural sector.
Mr Charlie Choi, leader of the Korean technical team, said the processing plants will be situated in rural areas and will help to boost economic growth in these areas.
