Osun State commissioner for Tourism and Culture, Obafemi Fagbola has urged the private sector to get involved with the development of tourism and culture in the state.
The state has identified around a hundred tourism centres which it plans to develop to boost internal revenue. Museums and monuments are going to be created for the paramount traditional rulers in the state.
According to Fagbola the state is going to partner with the federal government on the development of the state’s tourist and cultural sites.
All of the state’s 30 local government Tourism Committees have been mobilised to identify monuments and tourism centres in their respective areas.
