Nigerian computer company Zinox Technologies has partnered with Intel Corporation, one of the world's foremost producers of microprocessors, in the production of two budget notebooks.

The "Zinox Classmate" and the "Zinox Smart Star Plus" notebook computers are predominately aimed at scholars, students and lecturers.

The machines, which are supervised and certified by Intel, carry the latest Intel Atom Processor.

The Zinox Classmate features an 8.9" screen, 1.6GHz, 30GB storage, 512 MB Ram, 1.3 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi antenna, a choice of Windows XP or Linux operating systems, and a one year warranty.

The Smart Star Plus has an 10.2" screen, 1.6 GHz, 1GB RAM, 60 GB storage, 1.3 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi antenna, 2 USB ports, headphone and microphone jacks, 6 cell Li-ion battery, Realtek audio system and a one year comprehensive warranty.
