A Belgian construction company is finalising plans with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to build a new terminal at Murtala Muhammed International in Lagos.
According to a report in Business Day, the contract has not been signed but a team from the firm has already inspected the airport and the proposed site for the new terminal.
Edward Olarerin, FAAN's regional manager said the company will be back in Nigeria in a few weeks when specifics of the project will be finalised.
The Nigeria Federal Government earlier called for running the aviation sector on a public private partnership basis.
