As part of its efforts to promote local manufacturing, Nigeria's Federal Government plans to launch a national made-in-Nigeria campaign.

According to Vanguard newspaper, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Chief Achike Udenwa last week made this announcement when a group from the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) paid him visit.

According to Udenwa, Nigerians must be patriotic and start to consume locally manufactured goods.

He added that Nigeria wants to diversify its oil-dominated economy and export finished and semi-finished industrial products to other countries.
