The Lagos State Government cleaned-up the Lagos Bar Beach by demolishing all illegal structures and shanties. Many occupants and traders were displaced after the government three weeks ago issued them an ultimatum to vacate the area.

The government wants to turn the whole Bar Beach area into a world class tourist destination through the Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) partnership with private sector.
