Dr Abba Sayyadi Ruma, Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources, said the government aims to guarantee policy consistency and affordable credit facilities to boost agricultural production.

Only 25% of Nigeria's land that is fit for cultivation is currently being utilised for farming.

Kwara State government made available a loan of N13-million to 100 students who graduated from the Malete Integrated Youth Agricultural Training Farm Centre and allocated 500 hectares of land in three different areas to settle them down.

The students were assured of government's commitment in helping them succeed in their chosen professions.
