

Yar'Adua committed to boost power and transport
Tue, 04 Sep 2007 00:00The development of Nigeria's power and transportation sectors are central to government's plans to stimulate economic growth in the country.
President, Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, said that his administration is interested in forming partnerships with willing investors in these sectors and that federal government is looking for innovative ideas to improve Nigeria's electricity and transportation infrastructure.
He added that this is necessary for Nigeria to reach its goal of becoming one of the 20 largest economies in the world by 2020.
