Thu, 15 Nov 2007 00:00

The programme aims to reduce the cost of doing business in Nigeria by 50% within the next five years. It plans to achieve this by:

  • simplifying tax codes
  • improving tax administration
  • improving efficiency and service quality in land/property registration
  • facilitating trade flows through improved registration

The project will run over five years and will start with Kaduna, Kano, Cross River and Lagos States. Seven additional states will be included in the second phase, while the remaining states are expected to join the third phase.
