State Governor Bukola Saraki said the expansion will cost around N4.5-billion while the completion of the major road projects is expected to take the sum of N1.4-billion.

According to the governor, one of the new major road projects is a fly-over near Ilorin's post office.

Other extensions include:

the dualisation road from AsaDam Road to Offa Garage and Offa Garage to Ola-Olu Hospital

the Offa township road

the Patigi-Rogun-Pada road

the Owu Waterfalls road

the Oko-Idofin, Igbana-Idofin, Odo-Ase road

The Kwara State Road Maintenance Agency will also be bolstered in order ensure proper road maintenance.
