Shipping agencies a lucrative investment option

This is according to Otunba Kunle Folarin, Chairman of the National Seafarers Welfare Board.

Folarin said a shipping agent is the most important person in the shipping business because he or she is the link between cargo owners and the relevant port organisations.

Shipping agencies normally have many different departments such as freight, container control, container reporting system, documentation, refund of container deposits, loading of empties and finance.
