Kabo Air, based in the northern Nigerian city of Kano, has launched direct flights from Kano to Dubai and Jedda, Daily Trust reports.

Captain Joseph Machimu, director of flight operations said the Kano – Dubai flight will commence this Friday, while the Kano – Jeddah flight will start on Thursday.

According to Machimu, the airline has bought a Boeing 767 for the new routes.

He added that Kabo Air has lowered the stress of passengers who normally first have to travel to Lagos in order to get a flight to Dubai.
