SEPTEMBER 2009 ISSUE 21
Despite the current turmoil in Nigeria's banking sector there are still significant opportunities for new investment in the industry. In the September 2009 issue of the TradeInvestNigeria newsletter, we write about a survey by Enhancing Financial Innovation and Access (EFInA) which shows that the penetration of banking and financial services products in Nigeria is still relatively low. The issue also features a number of investment opportunities located in Kwara State, especially in the agriculture, energy, housing and mining sectors. In the monthly CSL Stockbrokers sector overview, we learn more about the challenges still facing Nigeria's petroleum marketing industry. In addition we also take a closer look at how laws made by the House of Representatives have changed Nigeria's economic landscape.
