Description

The Commonwealth Business Council is delighted to be hosting the third annual West Africa Investment Forum in Abuja, Nigeria.

This forum forms part of the continuing Africa Investment Series – a unique private-public programme on business and investment, which CBC launched in 2002, and has since helped mobilise investment in eleven African countries.

In 2007 the Africa Investment Series included, the West African Investment Forum, the sixth annual Africa Investment Forum in Durban, The Africa Business Forum and the Cameroon Investment Forum West African economies are currently experiencing high levels of growth, bolstered by an increasing international interest, rising commodity prices and regional and domestic reform. The 2008 forum will capitalise on this momentum and build upon the foundations of the 2007 West Africa Investment Forum to examine the continuing theme of global partnerships and economic growth in Nigeria and in its neighbouring countries.

As the government of Umaru Musa Yar'Adua looks forward to its first full year in power, this forum will provide a unique platform to interact with new federal government, as well as unrivalled networking opportunities in the region.

In addition to the main plenary session the event will have specific sessions covering:
